Powerhouse, the elite musical ensemble of the John Burroughs High School in Burbank, CA., featured on the "Oprah Winfrey Show" and others – is the largest, youngest contingent of performers to represent the U.S. in Cathay Pacific's annual Chinese New Year Night Parade in Hong Kong on February 3.

The 54-member Powerhouse ensemble, directed by Brendan Jennings, is recognized as America's top show choir and was an inspiration for the hot television series "Glee."  In addition to performing on Oprah last season, Powerhouse recently performed on Dancing with the Stars and at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art oppositeChristina Aguilera and the Canadian Tenors.  The aptly named Powerhouse has won numerous awards in the U.S. including three national championships since 2007.
