The 54-member Powerhouse ensemble, directed by Brendan Jennings, is recognized as America’s top show choir and was an inspiration for the hot television series "Glee." In addition to performing on Oprah last season, Powerhouse recently performed on Dancing with the Stars and at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art oppositeChristina Aguilera and the Canadian Tenors. The aptly named Powerhouse has won numerous awards in the U.S. including three national championships since 2007.

Poised at the cutting edge of the show choir phenomenon, the 54-members of the Powerhouse show choir will bring their combination of superb choral skills and exciting choreography to life before an enthralled audience of tens of thousands who have never seen a show like this before. Among the musical numbers to be performed by Powerhouse in Hong Kong will be "Any Way You Want It" (by Journey) and "Vogue" (by Madonna).
On February 3rd, the first day of the Chinese New Year, the celebrations get rolling with the annual Cathay Pacific International Chinese New Year Night Parade, selected as one of the world’s top must-see events by Lonely Planet. Featuring Powerhouse, the LSU dancers and other leading international and local performers, more than a dozen of the parade’s intricately crafted floats will accompany them along Tsim Sha Tsui in Kowloon, showcasing their exquisite talents.
The day after the parade on February 4th, delighted onlookers gather for the grand fireworks display that lights up the sky against the iconic backdrop of Hong Kong‘s towering skyline and mountains. With many of the spectacularChinese New Year festivities occurring against the picturesque backdrop of Victoria Harbour, it is hard to imagine a better setting in which to welcome the "Year of the Rabbit" – and sure to quicken the pulse of visitors and residents alike from February 3 to 17.
