BURROUGHS ON BROADWAY RETURNS FOR ITS BIGGEST YEAR YET!
September 26, 2025 (Burbank, CA) – A legacy 20 years in the making – Burroughs on Broadway (BOB) is back and bigger than ever! One of the most celebrated traditions in Burbank returns this fall for its landmark 20th anniversary, honoring two decades of unforgettable performances, student talent, and musical theater magic. For the first time ever, audiences will be treated to six spectacular performances over two weekends, beginning Friday, October 17 at 7:00pm with additional shows on Saturday, October 18 (7:00pm), Sunday, October 19 (2:00pm matinee), as well as Friday, October 24 (7:00pm), Saturday, October 25 (7:00pm), and Sunday, October 26 (2:00pm matinee).
Now celebrating its 20th year, BOB—founded by visionary choir director and Burroughs alum Brendan Jennings and VMA Artistic Director Jen Oundjian—has become a cornerstone of the John Burroughs High School Vocal Music Association (VMA) program. The production is helmed by legendary director Jennifer Strattan, a longtime
VMA leader and alum whose deep passion for performance and storytelling shines through in every detail.
Audiences will enjoy a dynamic lineup of musical theater highlights performed by Burroughs’ award-winning show choirs: Powerhouse, Sound Sensations, Sound Waves, and Decibelles. In addition to full-ensemble numbers, the show will feature student solos, small ensembles, and dance performances, showcasing the incredible talent of the VMA students.
